Paul's Personals.
Star Gazing #1

Hello all and welcome to the first ever readable “Star Gazing” report.  I am Paul Casey here with your entertainment news.  First let me begin with a little description of what “Star Gazing” is.  This is a weekly report on entertainment that I usually do for our high school news broadcast.  One of my major problems is time as we have other amazing segments for the broadcast, thus, only enough time for a couple “Star Gazing” stories.  I am attempting to make things more interactive, but it doesn’t seem to be going in that direction as much as I’d hoped.  Another experiment I’m trying is “Star Gazing’s ‘Nebula Newsbites’” which are short stories that are important but cannot necessarily be expanded beyond a sentence or two.  The entire concept is a play on words of course as, instead of being about stars in the sky, it’s about stars in Hollywood.  Now on to the stories.

I recently reported on Farrah Fawcett being in trouble first checking into the hospital due to her cancer problems, then her son being arrested for possession near a detention center.  Well, late Thursday, she was released.  The 62-year-old original Charlie’s angel star was admitted April 2, 2009, with the cause being a hematoma in one of the muscles in her abdominal wall, which her doctors say was not in correlation with her cancer.  All I can say is, I hope Farrah has a Happy Easter, and gets better as she’s an American gem.

Musical artist Ciara recently released the cover to her upcoming album “Fantasy Ride”.

And here is the cover to the album, which is set to feature appearances from Justin Timberlake, Ludacris, Chris Brown, and many others.  The album is set for release on May 5, 2009.

And now here is a story I will be reporting at school, on WSTV, but I’m telling you all here first.  Warner Bros. has set a release date for the upcoming remake of “A Nightmare on Elm Street”.  The studio announced plans for a remake when they first announced a “Friday the 13th” remake with Michael Bay and his Platinum Dunes company producing.  The film, which is set for a April 16, 2010 release will be directed by Samuel Bayer, and while Robert Englund will not be reprising his infamous role as Freddy Kruger, it’s been reported that Jackie Earle Haley, who recently was in the hit ‘Watchmen’, will be taking over the role.

And in one more bit of news, beloved actor Leonardo DiCaprio is set to star in the new film “Inception” written and directed by Christopher Nolan who has recently come into the spotlight as director of “Batman Begins” and “The Dark Knight”.  Due to work on the film, Nolan has stated that if there is a third film in the revived Batman franchise, it won’t be for a while as he’s focusing on this sci-fi/action film with DiCaprio.

And, I’ll give you a couple of the first batch of “Star Gazing’s: Nebula Newsbites”.  These are, as stated above short stories that are reportable but cannot necessarily be expanded at the time of publication.

The Black Eyed Peas are hard at work on their upcoming fifth studio album entitled “The E.N.D. (The Energy Never Dies)”.

Chuck star Zachary Levi has been cast as Jason Lee’s characters cousin in “Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel” in which Alvin, Simon, and Theodore will face off against The Chipettes.

Actor/producer Wilmer Valderrama, best known as That ‘70s Show’s ‘Fez’ and host of “Yo Mama”, is executive producing a Nickelodeon show entitled “Earth to Pablo” about a family who gets an exchange student they think is from South America only to find out it’s a teen space alien.
